Listen to sound fragments
A fine and very impressive pair of string concertos, authoritatively played by the soloists with rich and powerful support by the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra
and conductor Daniel Reuss. Enthusiastically recommended.
SA.CD.net, John Miller, 2009
This music is of such
transcendent beauty, words are inadequate
to describe it. [...] Today’s real “modern” composers are the ones who are
writing music that audiences can understand, appreciate, and love. Five gold stars; and more
Kleiberg, please. Jerry Dubins, Fanfare magazine, december 2009
We're familiar with conductor Daniel Reuss from his many very fine
recordings of choral and orchestral music, and he certainly doesn't
disappoint here, expertly managing his soloists and the first-rate Trondheim
Symphony Orchestra, making a case for these works as strongly as could be imagined.
The sound, which this label prides itself on, justifies the label's claims.
Highly recommended! Disc of the month august 2009

The soloist Marianne Thorsen is matched in passion and impressionistic panache by the Trondheimers and Daniel Reuss.
Classics Online, Rob Barnett
The Trondheim Symphony Orchestra has demonstrated how well virtuosity and musicality
can mix on their orchestral palette thanks to Dutch conductor Daniel Reuss whose choral
experience has definitely added human touch and well-versed articulation. His attention to vocal
layering is certainly at home with Kleiberg’s intricate
orchestration.
